Annotation: The article discusses the role of social activity of college students, levels of social activity and their signs are considered. The results of the study of revealing the percentage of participation of students of different courses in various extracurricular activities in order to track the dynamics of social activity levels are presented. This is due to the fact that modern society in the process of its continuous development requires educational institutions to train highly qualified specialists capable of independent decision-making, ready for positive transformations in society, proactive. It is revealed that the solution of this problem is maximally promoted by the development of students' social activity.
