- Annotation: The article is devoted to the current problem of socio-psychological adaptation of forced migrants, the search for resources that improve the quality of adaptation in the region of resettlement. Among personal resources, the phenomenon of psychological capital is highlighted, including self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience. An empirical study was conducted in the Kherson region with the participation of students from an evacuated university. The “PsyCap” questionnaire (V.G. Maralov, M.A. Kudaka, O.V. Smirnov) and “Methodology for diagnosing socio-psychological adaptation” (C. Rogers, R. Dymond; adapted by A.K. Osnitsky) were used. For statistical processing, correlation analysis and Fisher's angular transformation criterion were used. Statistically significant differences were established between groups of migrant students with different levels of psychological capital in terms of socio-psychological adaptation indicators “Internality”, “Striving for dominance”, which shows the influence on adaptation of active actions, the desire to manage one’s life, control events, and take responsibility for the result. Based on an empirical study of a student sample of migrants, the interdependencies of the components of psychological capital and indicators of socio-psychological adaptation are shown. It has been shown that the most important determinants of successful adaptation are self-efficacy and resilience.
