Annotation: The article discusses the problem of foreign students’ reflection development while teaching Russian. The authors emphasise the role of the project technology. Thus, the authors give the theoretical analysis of reflection, project activity and a project. They give the example of the information project and describe the periods concerning the mechanisms to the further types of reflection development – preparatory stage is for self-reflection, practical stage is for participants’ reflection assessment and the final stage is for teamwork reflection. The authors give the example of the group project “What a fun to live and study in Samara”.
