Annotation: The article examines the experience of the formation of control and evaluation independence of younger schoolchildren, analyses the interpretation of the concept of “control and evaluation independence” and determines the essential characteristics of the formation features in the educational process of primary school. The author characterises the methods of formation of control and evaluation independence. The article presents the results of the implementation of a system of methods and techniques for the formation of control and evaluation independence in the lessons of the Russian language at elementary school.
