- Annotation: Currently, more and more attention are being paid to the task of educating the Russian spiritual character, the main features of which are love for the Fatherland, understanding and responsible fulfillment of civic duties, national identity, the pursuit of justice, faith, conscience and honor. In many ways, the spiritual character is brought up in the process of studying in educational institutions of different levels. In this regard, there is a search for ways to effectively transfer values that are important to our society. This leads to the actualization of the study of the history of the native land as a discipline that develops the patriotic qualities of students. Local history has a unique character, which calls for interest in the experience of teaching the history of the native land in every region of Russia. Since this discipline contributes to the transfer of cultural and moral values of the peoples of Russia, it is advisable to analyze the implementation of local lore in national republics, for example, in the Volga Federal District. Official documents posted on the websites of educational organizations allow you to trace the organization of the process of teaching the history of your native land. In addition, this approach allows you to assess the availability of electronic information resources as well as the timeliness of their appearance.
