Annotation: The article is devoted to the disclosure of the results of a study of the educational activities of fathers of different nationalities raising children of primary school age. Despite the complexity of the organization of the study, the lack of evidence-based data on the characteristics of education in Ukrainian, Tatar, Armenian and Azerbaijani families, it was possible to establish the main aspects of parent-child interaction. The structure of the upbringing activity of fathers is substantiated, which consists of three components: motivational-required, executive, and control-evaluative. Based on the analysis of the content of each component of the educational activities of 238 fathers of five national groups (Russian, Ukrainian, Tatar, Armenian, Azerbaijani), differences were established, expressed in the desire of the fathers of Russian nationality to receive social recognition and approval. For fathers of Ukrainian nationality, the motive of achieving success in relations with the child is the leading one, while for fathers of the Tatar Armenian and Azerbaijani nationality, the motive of self-affirmation is the leading one. The executive component is characterized by similarity in the desire to take care of the child, which is expressed in overprotection and the desire to satisfy any requirements of children. As a result of the implemented educational activities, the average level of social development, inadequate self-esteem, and violation of educational motivation are formed in children. The results of the study reveal the task of improving the psychological and pedagogical culture of parents and the coordinated participation in the upbringing of the younger generation of the family and school.
