Annotation: The variety of modern approaches to the problem of the development of social and communicative competence of managers, the practical need to improve the preparation for the professional activities of young professionals determined the relevance of this study. The article reveals the need to consider the features of the social and communicative competence of sales managers through the prism of the subject-subject approach. The study used a variety of psychodiagnostic techniques to compare the degree of formation of components of social and communicative competence of students and working professionals. As a result of an empirical study, significant differences in individual characteristics of the respondents' social and communicative competence were revealed, depending on the level of professional training.
