Annotation: The main areas of work in the summer activity camp "Eyas" and the techniques that enable children to exercise their leadership skills, initiative and creative work are reflected in the article. The authors interpret the results of the conducted research which is aimed at identifying children's expectations of active recreation at the camp and to what extent these expectations are justified; what is the priority – a collective interest in the activity or an individual one; to identify whether each participant belongs to a team, to determine its role and position in the collective, the level of interaction within the troop, between different troops; whether there is interest in organisational activities or not; activity in socially significant activities, in the events of the camp and the camp detachment; the presence of interest in the events at the camp, which allow one getting to know oneself better, realise oneself in meaningful activities, participate in the work of public organisations (Russian Schoolchildren’s Movement and the Faculty of Additional Professional Education), identify the most striking events that unite the summer camp or a separate camp troop. The positive conclusion, that "Eyas" is a modern educational project that allows one to get the necessary skills for personal development in both real interactions and virtual Internet sites and in the media sphere, is based on an analysis of the activities of the camp.
