- Аннотация: В статье представлено теоретическое исследование концепции когнитивной закрытости, включающее изложение истории вопроса и анализ смежных понятий. Понятие когнитивной закрытости рассматривается в историческом ключе: приводятся концепции и теории, которые логически подводят к проблеме изучения когнитивных стилей, в частности – когнитивной закрытости. Тесно связанными с когнитивной закрытостью представляются: толерантность к неопределенности, ориентация на определенность, стремление к простой когнитивной структуре, догматизм, фундаментализм, ригидность мышления. Самым развернутым и хорошо проработанным конструкт когнитивной закрытости предстает в теории эпистемической мотивации. Специфика конструкта когнитивной закрытости заключается в том, что в теории эпистатической мотивации акцент был смещен с тенденции избавляться от информации как психологического свойства на активный динамический (мотивационный) момент. Когнитивные исследования являются одним из перспективных направлений исследований в психологии, так как обладают большим объяснительным потенциалом, благодаря чему возможно проведение прикладных исследований различной тематики. На основании качественного и частотного анализа современной научной периодики приводятся наиболее востребованные направления исследований и делается вывод о том, что в настоящее время интерес к теме повышается.
